Competed at the IBJJF European Open Championship 2017

Here is my matches from the IBJJF European Open Championship which took place in January in Lisbon, Portugal. I fought in the Black Belt, Master 2, -70kg division and ended up winning (losing) a silver medal. I won my quarterfinal and semifinal match and went up against a really good Brazilian dude in the final and ended up losing on points with 2-0. Overall another really good competition and I’m happy with the results. So far I’ve won 1 gold, 2 silvers and 1 bronze and the IBJJF Europeans. Haven’t won a gold medal as a black belt yet so that is the goal for 2018! 🙂

Added a new page to my blog

I just added a new page to my blog which is the “Where do I teach?” page. Here you can find more information about all the places I visit to teach and help with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs.

I will be opening my own academy in the new year in my home city of Helsingør, Denmark. The school will be called BJJ3000 and you can check out the website here – www.bjj3000.dk

Back in California and The Land of Oportunity, YAY!

Finally I am back in California and this time with my good friend and training partner Anders Rosendal, who got promoted to black belt a few weeks ago. We will spend our time here training two weeks with Rafael and Gui Mendes at the Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Costa Mesa. Today is monday and we arrived here Thursday evening and had our first training at the academy on Friday where we joined the 10.30 am competition class and oh my, what an experience especially with lack of energy and a bit of jetlag. I got run over pretty badly and basically spend 95% of the time just defending and avoiding being submitted. The mindset in the competition training was basically “submit you opponent as many times as possible, if you can submit 10 times you do it. Keep pushing, keep moving and be aggressive”. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do any of the things and as I wrote just spend every second more of less defending. The class took everything out of me and I more or less ran to the cold shower as soon as the class was over. 🙂

My official facebook page

I got around to making Facebook fan page because I needed one to have a facebook feed here on my webpage. I have now decided that I will not need or add a facebook feed to my page so I’m left with my own Facebook fan page. Would have been nice if someone created it for me as a fan, but oh well, I have always been a fan of myself so that counts in my book 🙂

Now go like my page so I can get some of those Likes everyone is talking about!

Thanks in advance!

New school – Artesuave.dk / Checkmat

I have decided to join ArteSuave.dk one of the biggest and strongest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in Denmark and also part of the worldwide Checkmat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team.

I would like to thank Shimon Mochizuki and my new training partners at ArteSuave for really accepting me into their group and I look forward to train and compete along side my new team!

On a sidenote I will also be teaching all the Tuesday 18.00-19.30 mixed classes.
